Olaplex

Olaplex Hair Treatments

Olaplex is a bond multiplier containing a single active ingredient, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. It works by finding single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross-linking them back together to form disulfide bonds before, during and after services. Disulfide bonds are broken via chemical, thermal, and mechanical processes.

Olaplex is the perfect way to upgrade highlights and colour service or can be used as a stand-alone treatment to improve the look and feel of your hair.

Olaplex Hair Treatment

There are a number of ways you can experience this wonder treatment at Moda Greco.

How Can Olaplex Be Used?

Mixed into colour: The No 1 component of the treatment can be mixed with either the bleach or the colour before it is applied to your hair. This is the most popular way that Olaplex is being used and is extremely popular when we carry out Balayage services.

This method helps to re-bond the hair as it is being coloured and can prevent further damage to already sensitised hair. After your colour has developed, we rinse the colour off and then apply Olaplex No 2 to the hair and leave this on for 10 minutes. Prices start from £15 and go up to £18. It all depends on the amount of No 1 we need to use to get the best results for your hair.

As a stand-alone treatment: Another way to use this wonder treatment is to go for the stand-alone treatment. With this method, a large quantity of Olaplex No1 is mixed with water and applied to your hair at the backwash area. This is left on for at least 15 minutes. Afterwards, we will apply No 2 to your hair and leave this on for at least 10 minutes. Prices start from £25

Olaplex At Home

You can also buy the Olaplex No 3 to take home and use. This can be used at home weekly or as and when needed. The No 3 is not to be used instead of  No 1 & 2.

What The Press Say About Olaplex

“Imagine if you could prevent your hair from breaking and repair damaged strands by linking the bonds back together again? Well, the Holy Grail has happened. It’s thanks to a treatment called Olaplex and it’s got nothing to do with big hair brands selling you stuff and everything to do with science.”
